CVS Deal Pic

My lil CVS deal from Saturday…  I had expiring ECBs to burn & a raincheck on the Zephyrhills water and nothing else really looked worthwhile…

(4) 24 packs Zephyrhills water @ $6.99
(2) Trident Xtra @ $1.49

Raincheck on water = $3.49 each

ECBs used: $8.37, $3.98, $3.00

Total spent out of pocket: $1.59

AMOUNT SAVED: $ 29.35

ECBs Earned: $2.00 from quarterly & $1.00 from Trident

There are some things I need to stock up on again… TP, laundry detergent, liquid & sheet fabric softeners, ziplock type bags, and some other stuff, so I’m crossing my fingers there will be some deals on those things coming up soon.  I wasn’t doing deals for over a month, so my stockpile on some things is pretty much depleted or close to it and I’d like to be able to do some stocking up, not just buying it here and there where there is a “decent” price.  The CVS monthly book does not look good at all to me for July, but I’m going to scout around and see if anyone has some ideas on that.  Their weekly deals haven’t looked too great either.  Hopefully, there will be some good deals coming up.  🙂

I had a GREAT shopping trip @ Publix this past Saturday!  I spent $23.34 and SAVED $73.66!  Woo hoo!  Most of what I picked up was just stockpiling stuff, since I’m good on meats and most other stuff and we already picked up milk & juice, but there were a few things I had to grab with no coupons.

Here’s a breakdown on the savings (I really “heart” how Publix breaks it all down for you, so you can really see your savings!):

Vendor Coupons: $29.77
Store Coupon: $10.00
Advertised Special Savings: $33.89
Your Savings @ Publix: $73.66

Here is a breakdown of the goods:

(8 ) boxes Quaker Chewy Granola Bars @ 2.79 bogo, (4) $1/2 Qs = $0.89 ea
(2) boxes Kellogg’s Corn Pops @ 3.89 bogo, no Q = $1.94 ea.
(2) boxes Keebler Club Puffed crackers @ 3.59 bogo, (2) $1 Qs = $0.79 ea.
(6) pkgs Oscar Mayer Beef Franks @ 3.89 bogo, (6) .50 Qs = $1.44 ea.
(2) bottles Kraft BBQ Sauce @ 1.19 bogo, no Q = $0.59 ea.
(3) cans Alpo pup food @ .99 ea, B2G1 (.99) Q = $0.66 ea.
(2) bags Stacey’s pita chips @ 2.99 bogo, (2) $1 Qs = $0.50 ea.
(2) cans Starkist Gourmet tuna fish @ 1.89 ea, (2) FREE Qs = BOTH FREE
(1) bottle Hersheys Strawberry syrup @ 1.95, no Q = $1.95

(1) bottle pancake syrup @ 1.99, no Q = $1.99
(1) bunch of bananas @ 1.20, no Q = $1.20
(30) single serving boxes of Cheerios @ .50 ea, (6) .50 & (24) $1/2 Qs = ALL FREE
(2) re-useable Publix shopping bags @ .99 ea, no Q = .99 ea

I also used a $10 off grocery purchase catalina from Winn-Dixie.

On a prior trip, I was able to use a CVS $/$ coupon, so you could probably try the Friday Walgreen $/$ coupons @ Publix too.  I think it could vary from store to store what they allow, but it doesn’t hurt to try.  I even stacked 2 Winn Dixie $10 coupons before – they just checked to make sure the 2 coupon “off of” totals was as much or less than I actually spent, but it was otherwise no problem.  This is a GREAT way to save a little extra at the grocery store.

Winn-Dixie (through Tuesday 3/25/08)

Tomorrow (Tuesday) is the last day to take advantage of this offer. I would have mentioned it sooner, but just came across it.

Crystal Light On The Go 14 ct or Crystal Light 10 or 12 Quart Canister on sale bogo @ 3.99 – use $2/1 coupon (per item) found in “Sweet Savings” Publix flyer (states retailer’s coupon – this is not a Publix store coupon) that was in the Feb 10 Sunday paper. (Since most coupons in this flyer expired on March 7th, I doubt it is still available in Publix stores). Coupon expires 3/31/08.

Bogo = buy one get one free

Rainchecks: If an item is on sale and they are out of stock, get a raincheck.  If you are buying the last 2 and wanted 4, buy the 2 and get a raincheck.  If they have plenty except in the flavor of your choice, you can still get a raincheck since they are out of stock of what you planned to purchase.
