Yard Work
May 11, 2008 by multitaskingmama
For the past several days, I have been tackling the mini jungles in my back yard (thankfully just the fenced in part, not the entire 2+ acres!!). Each tree or grouping of trees has somehow been neglected (somehow it didn’t just magically get done though I wish it did!) and had low hanging branches, vines, sprouts coming up, etc. I currently have 4 piles of branches, sprouts, vines, etc that are 3-4 feet high, I hurt, and I am not even done! I have blisters and hurt in places I didn’t know existed! On a positive note, I have been drinking a lot more water! I actually do not mind getting out and doing it, though to do even more I need to rethink my supplies. I am mainly just using small clippers, since I’m not yet tackling bigger stuff plus the rake – which looks terrible after all the abuse I’ve given it! I am proud to say that the trees are already looking a whole lot better, which makes the overall yard have a nicer appearance (and my son can’t dart out of sight as easily!). What are your favorite yard tools? Have you been bitten by the Spring bug and been getting back to task on yard work? I’d love to get some ideas on new yard tools I could love and would also like to know I am not alone in tackling the yard, so comment & tell me something.
