CVS COUPONS
$4/$20 Beauty – expires May 3 (Thanks to I heart cvs)
You can usually get a $4/$20 (any items) coupon emailed to you when you update your email address @ cvs.com (go to the ECB program’s page).
I will share any info I get on these coupons, as they are increasingly harder to come by. Thankfully (and maybe a bit ironically) we can still get stuff for free even without them. Some deals need the little extra though to make them completely free.

* You may be able to do one bar per transaction and after the 3rd purchased get the ECB for all 3. Sometimes you have to purchase the buy x number deals in one transaction whereas the spend x can be broken up. Good deal though, so worth a shot!

New To CVS?
Are you new to CVS? Don’t pay big money out of pocket just to get the big money in ECBs. Start with small transactions. It may take you several transactions to get what others get in one transaction, but if you are getting it for pennies, it is still worth it!! Look for the deals that give you “overage” (you earn more in ECBs than you spend).
One example is the monthly Essence of Beauty deal where you purchase 3 items and earn $5 in ECBs. The gift bags (comes with tissue paper too!) are $1.49 each. 3 gift bags = $4.47 and you’ll earn $5 in ECBs.
Another example are the diabetic monitor deals. You may wonder why the CVS fanatics always seem to be buying the diabetic monitors. No, it isn’t because we recently scored such a big deal on candy that our systems went into a diabetic coma. (Though some candy deals have been that good, LOL!). The companies always offer deals on monitors and even if you pay full price, you can usually get your money back through the mail in rebate. They want the monitors out there b/c they make their money when people buy strips. This is how it works for us: purchase a monitor, use a coupon that usually covers the cost of the item, then get the full amount of the earned ECB as overage. You need to keep an eye out for these, since it’s a great way to get you some ECBs to start, start over (yes, we all have to do that sometimes), or just add to your purchasing power.
Does anyone know if there is a coupon for this week’s monitor deal (FreeStyle Lite Blood Glucose Monitoring System)? I couldn’t locate one. Thanks!
